John is one of Australia's greatest Wallabies and world's highest-scoring forward thanks to his goal kicking. Most kiwis will remember one heartbreaking kick that won the Bledisloe Cup.

John is in a select group of players, having twice won the Rugby World Cup. There is now a Medal in his name awarded annually to Australia's best rugby player. John is in Australia's Hall of Fame and the International Rugby Board Hall of Fame.
